The purpose of the Evangelism and Renewal committee:
- to empower and encourage churches in transformation
- to train and support congregations for evangelism outreach
- to advocate for evangelism in the presbytery
... so that our churches will "passionately engage their community to make disciples."
Congregational Consultation
Members of the committee, trained Vision Consultants, and/or the presbytery staff are equipped to consult with congregations in the areas of congregational transformation, engaging the community, evangelism and faith sharing. To arrange a consultation, please contact Wendy Bailey.
Training
The ER committee offers training on topics related to congregational transformation, church growth, community engagement and evangelism through special presbytery-wide events, workshops, and keynoters at presbytery meetings and conferences, and by co-hosting events with local congregations on specific topics in which the congregation is particularly interested. In addition, the presbytery staff and some members of our committee are willing to customize training events for sessions, committees, church leadership, and members of individual congregations. Congregational Transformation
The committee and the presbytery staff is equipped to help congregations develop individual strategies for congregational transformation. If the congregation qualifies, the committee and staff will help a congregation write grant proposals and raise other funds as needed to help in their transformation. Read more.

Mystery Visitor
The committee has trained a number of stealth volunteers to visit congregations upon request. These visitors will not announce their coming, but will write a written report of what they experienced as they, a visitor, worshipped with you. To request a mystery visitor, please contact Wendy Bailey.
