FORBES BAKER – DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS AFFAIRS AND FINANCE

Forbes manages all business and financial affairs of the Presbytery. He prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, serves as contact with outside auditors, banks, brokerage, and other financial service providers, and is responsible for management of presbytery’s long-and-short-term debt, investments, payables, receivables, and cash position. Forbes serves as the Board of Pensions liaison for the presbytery.

Previous to his position at the Presbytery, Forbes was Controller and CFO at the Port of Houston Authority. He received a BBA degree in Accounting from Texas A&I in Kingsville (now Texas A&M Kingsville).

Forbes has had a 19-year involvement in the Kairos Prison Ministry – both at the Carol Vance Unit in Richmond and the Darrington Unit in Rosharon. Forbes is an active Elder at Westminster PC, Houston, where he serves as Treasurer. He and his wife Carolyn have a blended family of six daughters and nine grandchildren.
