Communications Director
FPCK is seeking individual with proven creative, written and verbal communications skills to build an effective communications program supporting church ministries and improving community visibility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing internal communications with existing staff by enhancing the quality and quantity of our existing communications
- Upgrading external communications through traditional and interactive communications tools including direct mail, radio & television, interactive media, and proven PR tactics effective in local communities
- Work with Sr. Pastor in creating a new brand identity for our church that reflects our mission, desire to grow congregation, and vision for the future.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of broad-based communications management experience
- Experience in the development of multi-media strategies, brand management, internal newsletters, and marketing/PR programs for current and prospective members.
- Ability to manage and motivate people, including volunteers; strong editorial & relationship-management, facilitation and organizational skills; proven track record in achieving short and long-term communications goals for faith-based community organizations.
- Have a growing and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Show evidence of a passion and a specific calling to work with students.
- Have experience in teaching students and leading small group Bible studies.
- Be working toward a college degree
- Develop personal relationships with students and their families.
- Get involved in students’ lives by attending their school and community functions.
- Help plan and attend youth retreats and lock-ins
- Reach out to non-churched students
- Help provide ongoing communication with youth, parents and the congregation through mail,e-mail,telephone, website and personal contacts.
